The son of Afro-Juju music icon Shina Peters and celebrated Nollywood actress Clarion Chukwurah, Clarence was born into Nigeria’s cultural bloodstream—but made his own indelible mark by transforming the nation’s visual and creative landscape.
A graduate of the CityVarsity School of Media and Creative Arts in Cape Town, Clarence returned to Nigeria in the early 2000s and established Capital Dreams Pictures. What followed was nothing short of revolutionary. His debut works signaled a seismic shift in visual storytelling in Nigeria—elevating music video direction from routine to visionary, and setting new standards in lighting, cinematography, editing, and set design.
“Think how much bliss the videos of Clarence Peters have brought to audiences home and abroad.” — Yemi Osinbajo, Former Vice President of Nigeria
