Chris Oputa
My name is Ifeanyi Christopher Oputa and this is probably the most “Quirky” personal profile you will find! Afterall we are meant to be creatives aren’t we? Lets get down to it. I was born in Benin City and I’m the second of four children from the family of the Late Prof. Christopher Oputa and Mrs Leonora U. Oputa (Nee Roth). I studied chemical engineering at UNILAG and did two 6 month stints offshore with Chevron (Escravos) and Shell (Forcados) followed by NYSC at the NNPC Kaduna Refinery. In all of this I knew that traditional paid employment was NOT my thing! I registered my company whilst I was in Unilag but opened our first SME on July 7th 1989. This was during my NYSC in Kaduna. (Clippers Mens Salon). A number of other ventures followed including Studio 24 in the same plaza (Shop No. 24 hence the name Studio24).
